Out of the box · the best one
The single highest-value thing it does, and it needs nothing but your own mailbox. Ten minutes before a meeting, it reads back every open thread with whoever you're meeting, what you owe them, what they owe you. You walk in knowing every loose end before they raise it.
Do this twice and you'll never walk into a meeting cold again. It's the one to try first, because it lands the moment you see the cheat sheet.
I'm meeting the mechanical contractor's PM in the morning about the fit-out. Build me a one-pager from my mail: every open thread between us, what I owe him, what he owes me, and anything I said I'd come back on and haven't. Check my sent items too, not just my inbox.
A tight one-pager you can read in the car park. Made-up names, real shape:
Meeting prep — mechanical PM, fit-out
You owe him (3):
• Sign-off on the revised riser layout. He chased twice, last Tuesday. Still not sent.
• Confirm the builders-work dates for the plant room. You said "end of the week" on the 4th.
• The updated door schedule he asked for on the 9th.
He owes you (2):
• Revised ductwork drawing for level 3. Promised "by Friday", nothing in yet.
• His RAMS for the crane lift. Outstanding 12 days.
Watch: last exchange got tetchy about the programme. Worth opening with the riser sign-off so you're not on the back foot.
