Day-two option · the web portals

Why bother with Playwright?

Half the job lives in portals with no nice way in: the ESB connection portal, the building-control system, supplier and tender sites. Playwright lets your assistant actually drive a browser, so it can work those with you instead of you clicking through them alone.

What it is, in plain terms

Playwright is an add-on that gives your assistant a real browser it can see and click. You point it at a portal, it reads the page, fills the forms, pulls the documents, and shows you what it's looking at the whole way.

What that's good for

The line it won't cross

You do the login and any two-factor yourself, it never sees your password. And it will not hit submit on anything binding, an application, a bid, a payment, on its own. It pre-fills and pulls; pressing the final button is always you. That guardrail is deliberate.

This one's optional. Plenty of lads never need it. If you live in a particular portal though, it's the difference between half an hour of clicking and a one-line ask. Worth setting up once the inbox basics are second nature.
